About Remy
Remy Ayo (he/him) is Queer City Therapy’s clinical intern for Fall 2022 – Spring 2023. Remy is currently working on a Masters in Mental Health Counseling at University at Buffalo and will be offering both in-person and virtual sessions at a reduced rate.
“I believe each therapist must bring their whole self into the therapy room. I am of queer and trans experience. I am of Nigerian descent though I was raised in the United States. My clients who are LGBTQIA+, kinky, and non-monogamous benefit from having a therapist who is familiar with their subcultures and terminology. My theoretical orientation is based in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT).”
